"Those who have ears, let them hear" -Jesus
Jesus regularly taught in parables. Parables are stories with underlying messages attached to them. Author Cameron Suarez created 15 original parables with messages directed at the body of believers in Christ. These parables are intended to edify any and all who read them. The author hopes and prays these parables are met with an open mind and a readiness to understand the content of this book. |
Something always bugged me about the story of Job. Job lost his children, his livestock, his servants and everything he owned. All the while, he was praising Adonai. He made daily sacrifices for himself and his children--just on the off chance they had sinned against Adonai. But in all this, Job still suffered.
In all this, Job still faced loss. And the story doesn't give us a clear reason why. After spending some time living, I think I have found an answer. It may not be THE answer, but I think it's AN answer. |

What does the Bible say about sexual orientation and gender identity? Are people born gay or trans? Why are teenagers adopting LGBTQ identities at alarming rates? What about 'celibate gay Christians'? Does transformation mean all temptation disappears? How do we navigate conversations with LGBTQ-identified loved ones? Should a Christian attend a gay wedding? Author: Francis Chan
"In Matthew 28:19, Jesus told his disciples, 'Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.' This commission includes believers today. The task may seem large, but it doesn't have to be an intimidating mandate, rather a way of living that invites people into what God is doing in their lives."
|
"In Letters to the Church, Pastor Francis Chan digs deep into biblical truths, reflections on his own failures and dreams, and stories of ordinary people God is using to change the world.
As Chan says, 'We've strayed so far from what God calls Church. We all know it. We know that what we're experiencing is radically different from the Church in Scripture. For decades, church leaders like myself have lost sight of the inherent mystery of the Church. We have trained people sitting in the pews to become addicted to lesser things. It's time for that to change.'", |
Author: Arturo G. Azurdia III
"Connected Christianity is a clarion call to Christians to robustly engage with the world we live in for the sake of the gospel. It calls us to be both Christian AND worldly, surely an unnerving tension when first considered but absolutely necessary if we are to truly reach the lost of this world we live in with the gospel they so desperately need to her."

Author: Trip Lee
"In this powerful book, Trip Lee argues it's time to wake up and RISE, to live the way we were created to live. Young or old, we've been called to live for Him. Right now. Young believers face the same problems as older Christians, but they feel them in unique ways. RISE addresses those core problems in an engaging, profound, and life-changing way."
