The Three Circles Evangelism Method
The Original PlanWhen God created the world, He placed the first man—Adam—in the Garden of Eden. It was there that He walked with Adam (as implied by Genesis 3:8).
God's original plan was to be in community with His creation. He would walk and live among mankind. He would be our Father and our God and we would be His people. His original plan was perfect. There was no death, no fear or anxiety, no disease or sickness. There was no bad thing. But this didn't last long. |
Enter SinGenesis 3 details the first sin and the subsequent fall of mankind. Eve and Adam were tempted into eating the forbidden fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. God had dictated to Adam and Eve what was good and what was bad; but Adam and Eve decided they wanted to redefine good and evil.
As a result, mankind was separated from God. He would no longer walk in the garden with mankind, He would no longer dwell among mankind. He remained in Heaven with the angels He created. We were left with a hole inside of us. We try to fill that hole with different things: Sex, drugs, money, our career, our family and more. However, we can never fill that hole by ourselves. As it turns out, that hole left in us is a God-shaped hole. And only One thing can fill a God-shaped hole. |
Jesus Christ Lives, Dies and Lives AgainWith His omnipotence, God knew Adam and Eve would fall into sin. Because of this, He had a plan: He would sacrifice His own Son, Jesus Christ. Only death can pay for sin. But the best mankind could do was make temporary amends with God through sacrificing doves, pigeons, sheep and other livestock.
Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice—the final sacrifice. It was only by the blood of a Spotless Lamb that the sins of mankind could be completely forgiven. Jesus is the only Spotless Lamb who could possibly have fulfilled that purpose. And so, with His life, death and resurrection, mankind has the opportunity to be reunited with God. And in Heaven, we'll be able to walk with Him once again. We need only confess our sins and accept His gift of salvation then dedicate our lives to Him and be living sacrifices for the Messiah. |
The Return
When we get to the point of salvation, Jesus demands we don't fall stagnant. Instead, we are called to go back into the world—where sin rules over the hearts of men, women and children—and do our darndest to show people the way of Jesus.
